Softball Game Preview: Paramount Pirates vs. Garden Grove Argonauts

The Paramount Pirates will take on the Garden Grove Argonauts at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Paramount is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Paramount managed to slip by Mayfair the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 10-4 to the Monsoons last Thursday.

Sarah Aguilar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Garden Grove hadn't done well against Segerstrom recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Argonauts skirted past the Jaguars 4-3. The Argonauts haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jazmine Santos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Nati Sualua-Orozco was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailee Le, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The victory got Garden Grove back to even at 10-10. As for Paramount, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
