Soccer Game Preview: Sheldon vs. North Medford

The Sheldon Irish will square off against the North Medford Black Tornado at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sheldon's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Sheldon's victory against Roseburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Irish never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for Sheldon in their matchups with Roseburg: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, North Medford fell victim to Willamette and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The defeat continues a trend for North Medford in their meetings with Willamette: they've now lost three in a row.

Sheldon's win bumped their record up to 3-1-4. As for North Medford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Everything went Sheldon's way against North Medford in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Sheldon made off with a 7-1 victory. Do the Irish have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Black Tornado turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
