Baseball Recap: Soledad Comes Up Short

Soledad fell victim to Hollister and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Haybalers. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Aztecs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Soledad has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Hollister, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Soledad will take on Salinas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hollister, they will challenge Bellarmine College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Haybalers 3.4, the Bells 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
