Volleyball Recap: Greenbrier Takes a Loss

Greenbrier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Statesboro Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Thursday.

Greenbrier started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 15-11.

Greenbrier now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Statesboro, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Greenbrier has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Savannah Christian on the 16th. As for Statesboro, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Evans on the 16th.
