Baseball Game Preview: Comanche Indians vs. Dublin Lions

The Comanche Indians will venture away from home to take on the Dublin Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Comanche will be strutting in after a win while Dublin will be coming in after a defeat.

Comanche took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Early, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Comanche sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over Early on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since April 3, 2024.

Cayden Davis and Cooper Welch did most of the damage at the plate: Davis scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Welch scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Welch a new career-high in hits. Gerado Puente was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Peaster, falling 19-1.

Dublin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Comanche, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Comanche was able to grind out a solid win over Dublin when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 10-5. Will Comanche repeat their success, or does Dublin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
