Soccer Recap: Southeast Guilford Takes a Loss

If Southeast Guilford was riding high fresh off their 6-2 takedown of Southern Guilford last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Northern Guilford Nighthawks on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Southeast Guilford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 338th, while Northern Guilford are ranked 130th).

Southeast Guilford's goal came courtesy of Declan Ponder, who's now up to three this season.

Southeast Guilford's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Northern Guilford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-2 record this season.
