Softball Recap: Rifle Find Success

Rifle took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Prairie View, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears had just enough and edged out the Thunderhawks 10-9 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since October 11, 2024.

Rifle got a massive performance out of Rylan Petree, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Petree has posted since back in September of 2024. Brynn Axelson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Rifle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They are 5-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rifle's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Prairie View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
