Basketball Game Preview: Omaha North Vikings vs. Lincoln North Star Navigators

The Omaha North Vikings will head out to square off against the Lincoln North Star Navigators at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Omaha North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season.

Omaha North and Omaha South faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. Omaha North came out on top against Omaha South by a score of 75-62. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Jerri'On Williams was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 29 points and nine assists. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bobby Brown, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Omaha North was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln North Star came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 65-58 victory over the Bearcats.

Omaha North's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Lincoln North Star, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Omaha North lost to Lincoln North Star on the road by a decisive 80-66 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Thankfully for Omaha North, Josiah Allick (who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 18 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
