Gonzaga Prep had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mead Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Bullpups, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Gonzaga Prep never let Mead on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-16.

Gonzaga Prep was led to victory by Cienna Pierpoint and Camryn Holbert. Pierpoint had 23 digs and six assists, while Holbert had nine digs and two assists. That's the most digs Pierpoint has posted over her last eight matches. Karolina Flanagan also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Gonzaga Prep's win bumped their record up to 26-1. As for Mead, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Gonzaga Prep and Mead should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Bullpups will challenge University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (1 vs. 94). Meanwhile, Mead (ranked 14th) will meet Shadle Park (ranked 131st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
