Softball Recap: Glacier Peak Beats Shorecrest for Their Third Straight Victory

Glacier Peak extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 14-5 in the process. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Shorecrest Scots. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Briannica Titus, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Lauren Hufford, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Glacier Peak was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

As for Shorecrest, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Shorecrest's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riu Hanrahan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As of now, neither Glacier Peak nor the Scots have any future games scheduled.
