Soccer Game Preview: Friendship Christian vs. Clarksville Academy

The Friendship Christian Commanders will take on the Clarksville Academy Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Friendship Christian turned things around against Nashville Christian on Tuesday. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, Clarksville Academy has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They and East Robertson finished up their game with a 2-2 draw last Thursday. There's a chance things could've gone differently had Clarksville Academy not been charged with a red card from Declan Morgan.

Logan Gibson was the only thing that stood between Clarksville Academy and a shutout considering he scored both of Clarksville Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

With that draw, Clarksville Academy's record moves to 0-8-1. As for Friendship Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.

Everything went Friendship Christian's way against Clarksville Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Friendship Christian made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Commanders repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
