The South Side Rams will challenge the Central Valley Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Side is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
South Side will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Carlynton on Monday. South Side came out on top against Carlynton by a score of 11-8. Considering the Rams' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Maya Ringhoff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Kenidi Cook was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Madison Morrow also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Central Valley had to kick off their season on the road last Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Keystone Oaks with a sharp 16-7 win.
Emma Weaver made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Weaver was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on London Banks, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. McKenzie Rizor was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI and one run.
Central Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Keystone Oaks only posted an OBP of .382.
South Side now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Central Valley, their record is now 1-0.
South Side was able to grind out a solid victory over Central Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2022, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Side since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
