Basketball Recap: Ridge Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Ridge Christian Academy Paladins came up short against the Curtis Baptist Crusaders on Friday and fell 61-53.

When it comes to explaining why Ridge Christian Academy lost, don't look at Deron Huff. Despite the final result, he posted 31 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JW Fowler, who had nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Curtis Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Husband, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards. Husband has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Kingsly Shine was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Ridge Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Curtis Baptist, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Ridge Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Step of Faith Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Curtis Baptist, they and Bible Baptist Christian will face off at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Crusaders will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
