Alli McFarland was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Gabi Long was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Houston County with a sharp 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Madison Holder made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central let McKenzye Castleman and Lilly McGee run wild.
