Baseball Recap: Lyndon Takes a Loss

Lyndon fell victim to Council Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Braves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost eight in a row.

Lyndon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13-2. As for Council Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Lyndon will take on Central Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season. As for Council Grove, they will square off against Hillsboro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
