Soccer Game Preview: Reno vs. Galena

Reno hasn't had much luck against Galena recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Huskies will welcome the Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reno barely beat North Valleys the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies blew past the Panthers 5-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for Reno in their matchups with North Valleys: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Galena walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lancers a 3-0 shutout on Monday.

Alyssa Dixon and Ava Bough scored all three of Galena's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Galena's victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1. As for Reno, their win bumped their record up to 11-2-2.
