Football Recap: Sealy Skates Past Bay City with Ease

Sealy extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. They blew past the Bay City Blackcats 35-7. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Kane Killough continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 171 yards and one TD while completing 78.6% of his passes. Killough is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sealy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Sealy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brady Cranfill and Elijah Sanders. Another thorn in Bay City's side was Colton Gilbert, who picked up three sacks, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bay City fell to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Despite the loss, Bay City had strong showings from Keimarion Wiggins, who gained 156 total yards, and Adrian Molina, who picked up 34 receiving yards and one score. Wiggins was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards.

Looking ahead, Sealy will face off against Needville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Bluejays' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bay City, they will take on Brazosport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
