Softball Recap: Thrasher Comes Up Short

Thrasher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Potts Camp Cardinals, falling 16-6. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2020.

Delancy Sartain was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Brailey Bryan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Thrasher's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Potts Camp, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Thrasher will square off against Walnut at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. Potts Camp does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
