It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Jones had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the East Central Hornets. The victory was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won four games in a row.

Micah Coutta made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, South Jones got a massive performance out of Dylan Causey, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave Causey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Kinmon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

South Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Central only posted an OBP of .323.
