Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

Heritage Christian won the last time they faced Lucas Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win.

Heritage Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lucas Christian Academy between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Lucas Christian Academy lost, don't look at Gabi Carrera. Despite the final result, she had 22 assists and three digs. Carrera is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 22 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Heritage Christian's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-5. As for Lucas Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coincidentally, Heritage Christian and Lucas Christian Academy will both be playing Wylie Prep Academy the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
