Basketball Recap: Lake Marion's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Barnwell wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lake Marion, they should've done a better job of containing Jeremiah Smith. The Lake Marion Gators were the clear victor by a 61-38 margin over the Barnwell Warhorses on Tuesday thanks in part to Smith, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 24 points and four steals. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Lake Marion and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for Barnwell, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

When Lake Marion and Barnwell next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lake Marion will square off against Hampton County and their six-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Marion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Barnwell will try to stop Bridges Prep's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
