Largo was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the St. Petersburg Green Devils 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Packers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Brady Ahlers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Riley Lube, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Largo's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for St. Petersburg, they dropped their record down to 7-12-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Largo will face off against Dunedin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Petersburg, they will take on Clearwater Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
