Volleyball Recap: Columbus Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Columbus won the last time they faced North Platte and things went their way on Thursday too. The Discoverers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.

Paighton Erb paced Columbus' offense, picking up eight kills. Erb got some help from Avery Bloebaum and her ten assists. Makenna Inman and Carley Kapels kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Columbus' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for North Platte, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Columbus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Grand Island on the 4th. As for North Platte, they will venture away from home to square off against Gering at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
