Palmyra-Eagle came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wayland Academy Big Red. The Panthers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Big Red, so the Panthers were just returning the favor.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palmyra-Eagle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Briahna Covarrubias, who had 14 digs. Covarrubias is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Madeline Geppert was another key player, getting 16 assists and two aces.

Palmyra-Eagle's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Wayland Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Palmyra-Eagle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against St. Ambrose Academy on the 20th. As for Wayland Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Lourdes on the 23rd.
