            Baseball Preview: Umatilla Bulldogs vs. Deltona Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            The Umatilla Bulldogs and the Deltona Wolves will meet in a dog eat dog contest  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Things were looking good for Umatilla after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell  7-2 to Eustis.

  Aidan Ross was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  RBI. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.  Jayden Hampson also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Meanwhile, Deltona was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Atlantic. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Wolves have suffered  since March 28, 2024.
  Yandiel Torres made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and one  RBI. Those two  doubles gave  him a new career-high.
 Umatilla's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Deltona, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Umatilla was able to grind out a solid  victory over Deltona in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023, winning  8-3. Will Umatilla repeat their success,  or does  Deltona have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
