Basketball Recap: Ellwood City's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ellwood City entered their tilt with Carlynton on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They snuck past the Carlynton Cougars with a 59-54 victory.

Ellwood City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Servick, who went 8 for 15 en route to 19 points along with seven boards and four steals. Servick's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maykel Cuevas, who posted 11 points.

Ellwood City's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Carlynton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
