Basketball Recap: Claymont Comes Up Short

Claymont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Indian Valley Braves, falling 59-35. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-25 back in January.

Claymont's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Indian Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claymont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Coshocton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Coshocton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. As for Indian Valley, they and St. Clairsville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
