Softball Recap: Resurrection Takes a Loss

Resurrection managed to slip by Saint Ignatius College Prep the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bandits lost 15-5 to the Wolfpack on Friday. The Bandits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Ella Anderson and Molly Reichenberger did some serious damage despite the final result: Anderson went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Reichenberger went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. That home run was Anderson's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Midiri, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Resurrection's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-17.

Resurrection has already played their next matchup (against Palatine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they have also already played their next game, a 10-1 victory against Lincoln Park on the 19th.
