Volleyball Recap: Carmel Comes Up Short

Carmel was the 2-0 winner over Saint Viator when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Corsairs fell 2-0 to the Lions on Wednesday. The Corsairs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

While Carmel was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22.

Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Saint Viator, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-17.

Coming up, Carmel will venture away from home to challenge Lake Forest Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Corsairs are facing the Caxys at the right time seeing as the Caxys are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Saint Viator, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wheeling at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
