Volleyball Recap: Sequoia's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

It was a good run, but Sequoia unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against the Carlmont Scots, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Ravens were not able to get on the board.

While Sequoia was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

Hean Ng was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 13 digs and one assist. Those 13 digs gave him a new career-high. Mateus Lima Duval also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sequoia fell to 4-1. As for Carlmont, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Sequoia is taking a road trip to take on Hillsdale at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Carlmont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mills at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
