Astoria lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Henley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's   matchup. The Fishermen were the clear victors by  an  8-0 margin over the Hornets on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Fishermen, who have now won ten games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
The result came thanks to  Maddie Wilkin's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Aryana Adams was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted since May 6th. Another player making a difference was  Kya Lindell, who  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
The  victory was  the fourth in a row for Astoria, bringing their record up to 22-5-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Henley, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.
As of now, neither Astoria nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
