Baseball Recap: Greenville Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Greenville won the last time they faced Canton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Greenville Hornets walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Canton Tigers. With that win, the Hornets brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Laderrius Hunter, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Greenville's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 2-6 when he doesn't). Deatrin Cooper also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
