Basketball Game Preview: Heath Bulldogs vs. Granville Blue Aces

Heath and Granville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Heath Bulldogs will square off against the Granville Blue Aces at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Heath is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.

Heath is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Johnstown-Monroe: they outscored them in every quarter. Heath put the hurt on Johnstown-Monroe with a sharp 59-39 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Johnnies since January 21, 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heath to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Kaminsky, who posted 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Jaxon Duston was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, Granville entered their match against Licking Heights on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Granville fell just short of Licking Heights by a score of 50-47.

Heath's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Granville, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.

Heath beat Granville 58-50 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heath since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
