Anthony Wayne gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Hilliard Darby Panthers 35-13. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Generals just coasted through the last quarter.
Grant Kinnee had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 124 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 101 yards on ten of 15 attempts. Braden Gardner was another key player, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Anthony Wayne will head out to square off against St. John's Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hilliard Darby, they will venture away from home to face off against Hilliard Bradley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
