Basketball Recap: Little Wound Falls Short Against Ranked Mahpiya Luta

On Tuesday, Little Wound faced Mahpiya Luta in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Little Wound Mustangs came up short against the Mahpiya Luta Crusaders, falling 69-46. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 66-59.

This is the second loss in a row for Little Wound and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Mahpiya Luta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Little Wound will head out to face off against Lower Brule at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. As for Mahpiya Luta, they will face off against Winner at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
