Basketball Recap: Triumph Charter Skates Past Community Charter with Ease

Triumph Charter waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 75-39 win over the Community Charter Titans. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-15.

Despite the loss, Community Charter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Edem Ladzepko dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. That was a full 69.2% of Community Charter's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Amescua, who had eight points.

Triumph Charter's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points over those games. As for Community Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-13.

Coincidentally, Triumph Charter and Community Charter will both be playing Lakeview Charter the next time they take the court. Triumph Charter will head out to face Lakeview Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Community Charter will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
