Meanwhile, Midway didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Whitwell on Friday, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Green Wave were down 34-19 in the third quarter.

Midway's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Oliver Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Oliver Springs was able to grind out a solid win over Midway in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 28-20. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
