Softball Recap: Beaver Beats North Sevier for Their Seventh Straight Win

Beaver had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the North Sevier Wolves. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Gracee Hutchings, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Lizzie Robinson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Beaver always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Sevier only posted an OBP of .182.

Beaver's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for North Sevier, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Coming up, Beaver will take on South Sevier at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaver is on a six-game streak of home wins, South Sevier a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for North Sevier, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-3 victory against Wayne on the 29th.
