Softball Recap: Kearney Catholic Stars vs. St. Paul Wildcats
Kearney Catholic's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 12-4 margin over the St. Paul Wildcats. The Stars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.
Claire Damratowski was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since two weeks ago. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Ruyle, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Kearney Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for St. Paul, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Kearney Catholic will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Gothenburg. As for St. Paul, they will face off against Hershey at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
