League recap: Barrett overpowering for RHAM in past week

Casey Barrett was the best pitcher in Central Connecticut - East this week. His stat line for the week included two wins and 13 Ks.

Tolland beat RHAM this week, 6-2, in a matchup of the league's top two teams on Thursday. Tolland leads the league with a 9-2 record, and has an overall record of 10-7.

Rocky Hill boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. On the season, the Terriers have allowed just 96 hits, while striking out 112 batters. Spencer Bunting leads the Terriers with 43 strikeouts in 41 innings.

Edwin O. Smith led the league in hits this week with 89, but Rocky Hill is still the season leader, with 134. Alex Lefevre has a team-best 15 hits this year, and the Panthers went 1-3 this week.

The Terriers' James Grant led the league with six hits this week. His 12 hits for the year are thirtird in the league, and he boasts a .255 batting average.



Jeff Osak had five hits in five at bats in Rocky Hill's 6-1 victory over Edwin O. Smith on Wednesday. He also drove in three runners.
