Volleyball Recap: DeWitt Find Success

DeWitt won the last time they faced Sturgis and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Trojans 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Payton Terwilliger had an outrageously good game as she had 21 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matchups. Avery Benson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: DeWitt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

DeWitt's victory bumped their record up to 18-13-1. As for Sturgis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17-3.

DeWitt has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Grand Haven on the 18th. As for Sturgis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bronson on the 18th.
