Softball Game Preview: Central Catholic Eagles vs. St. James Wildcats

The Central Catholic Eagles will head out to square off against the St. James Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. James took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Central Catholic, who comes in off a win.

Central Catholic saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past Morgan City 13-3. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, St. James unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 19-1 to Lutcher.

St. James saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ja'Rah Bright, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for St. James, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything went Central Catholic's way against St. James in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, as Central Catholic made off with a 14-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Catholic since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
