Football Game Preview: West Warwick Wizards vs. South Kingstown Rebels + How To Watch

The West Warwick Wizards are taking a road trip to face off against the South Kingstown Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (West Warwick 15, South Kingstown 11) so any points scored will be well earned.

West Warwick barely beat Lincoln the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wizards' defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 34-0 shutout on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wizards in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, South Kingstown faced Woonsocket in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rebels strolled past the Villa Novans with points to spare, taking the game 44-26. The Rebels' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

South Kingstown's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for West Warwick, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. West Warwick has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Kingstown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 175.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

West Warwick was taken down by South Kingstown 29-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Wizards avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
