Softball Recap: Burrillville Takes a Loss

Burrillville extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-6 in the process. They came up short against the Lincoln Lions, falling 13-0. The Broncos were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Lincoln, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Lincoln's part, Anna Danis looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Danis has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brooke Tillson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Marchand, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Coming up, Burrillville will take on Davies Career & Tech at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Woonsocket at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
