Mitchell lost to Sunlake back in March of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Mustangs walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Seahawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Cade Vermillion looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Kyle Koslin was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Sunlake, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Mitchell will take on East Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunlake, they will venture away from home to square off against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
