Volleyball Game Preview: Higley Knights vs. Williams Field Black Hawks

Higley hasn't had much luck against Williams Field recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Black Hawks at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Higley barely beat Gilbert the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Higley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Gilbert between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Williams Field hadn't done well against Queen Creek recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Black Hawks put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win.

Higley's victory bumped their record up to 16-12-3. As for Williams Field, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

Higley couldn't quite get it done against Williams Field in their previous matchup on October 1st as they fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
