After a string of nine wins, Osage's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Camdenton Lakers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since October 14, 2024.

Osage was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Camdenton work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25, 25-17.

Claire Sallee paced Osage's offense, picking up nine kills. Sallee got some help from Grace Ribaudo and her 16 assists. Finally, Sallee was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Osage's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Camdenton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-3-3.

Osage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Lafayette County on the 27th. As for Camdenton, they will challenge Jefferson City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
