Recap: Oakland-Craig Knights vs. Stanton Mustangs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Malcolm, the Oakland-Craig Knights were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 victory over Stanton. For Oakland-Craig, this counts as revenge for the 67-43 defeat Stanton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Leading Oakland-Craig to victory were Braylon Anderson and Isaak Maxwell. Anderson scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Maxwell scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Benne, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Oakland-Craig's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6. As for Stanton, they bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Oakland-Craig will face off against Bancroft-Rosalie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bancroft-Rosalie's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. Stanton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on January 6th.
