It was a good run, but Springville unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Mountain Brook Spartans, falling 6-1. Springville were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the nine contests prior), but Mountain Brook's defense proved too tough.

Springville's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Mountain Brook, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-2 record this season.

Springville will head out to face off against Leeds at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Brook has already played their next matchup (against Woodlawn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
