Baseball Recap: Wrightstown Comes Up Short

After flying high against Denmark on Saturday, Wrightstown came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Marinette Marines on Tuesday, falling 10-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2025.

Wrightstown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Leahy, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Wrightstown's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Marinette, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

While Wrightstown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
